When an existing client purchased a new Cape Cod vacation home, he asked us to install a modest system for audio, video and HVAC control.
Audio / Video
The distributed audio system consists of a Crestron CNX-PAD8A and CNAMPX-12X60 Room Amplifier, a Crestron FM tuner and ReQuest Multimedia music server. A digital cable box was also included as a music-only source. Controlling everything is a Crestron CP2E control processor.
Real-time information and feedback from the music server is available on all of the touchpanels - this allows you to see, select and play all of your music easily. With ReQuest's NetSync technology, the client can load music in his Florida home, and it will automatically be sent to the servers in his other homes.
Three cable boxes and a DVD player are fed into a Key Digital video switcher, which then feed to the three flat screen televisions in the house via component video.
HVAC Control
Crestron thermostats are used for the heating / cooling system. Control is available through the Crestron touchpanels located around the home.
Remote Access
With Crestron's e-Control, the client is able to access and control the various systems throughout the home from anywhere with an internet connection.
